I am a St Albans Newborn Photographer. As a mum myself, I am so so passionate about capturing your baby's first memories and I honestly feel so honoured every single time I am chosen by a family. In time, these are moments that we will forget and the scary part is that we don't even realise that we have forgotten.

Leela came highly recommended by a friend for my sons newborn photos and going with her was a great decision.

Ahead of the shoot she got in touch to discuss our outfits, and for mums and little ones she has the most gorgeous selection of dresses and baby outfits to choose from. We talked about colour palletes and textures and together discussed what we would wear (one of my favourite parts!). This would normally be a big stress for me so it was lovely that Leela was on hand to help.

On the day of the shoot she instantly made us feel at ease and was welcoming, calm, and great with my kids. She was very flexible which is needed with a newborn. She followed my sons schedule and worked around it. My four year old is pretty sassy and wild and Leela was great with her. My husband isn’t a big fan of having his photo taken and even he was impressed by the ease of it all, and that he was only called on for the necessary amount of time!

I was excited to see the photos and they did not disappoint. Leela captured our family perfectly, the colours and tones were so warm and the images were beautiful. The variety of images were great too, from individual photos of the children, both of them together and family photos.

Everything will be planned beforhand, so on the day you will come to the studio feeling fully prepared and relaxed for your newborn photography session with me.

I will bring my gental approach to photographing babies along with all my calming and patient energy so that you can really sit back, relax and enjoy your session, feel free to take a nap if you need to!

From the moment i first contacted Leela, she came across super friendly and personable. She really made an effort to ask my needs rather than just replying to me with her availability. She helped to coordinate our outfits and was always on hand to answer my queries.

The photos themselves are stunning and lend testament to Leela’s amazing skills. I actually cried viewing them. It truly amazes me how Leela managed to capture such beautiful moments with all the chaos going on that day. An overtired newborn that refused to sleep (and wanted constant nursing) and an excited toddler who didn’t want to participate at all! Leela was completely understanding throughout and made us all feel 100% comfortable. I will cherish our pictures forever. Thank you Leela, I can’t recommend you enough.
