Capturing emotion

"I am so pleased with my maternity pictures taken by Leela.
I was slightly apprehensive to have photos taken of me by myself but she made me feel comfortable from the minute I arrived and was so professional from start to finish. She also managed to capture some amazing pictures of my toddler.

I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting professional photos taken.
Thank you Leela"

FAQs

My photography studio is based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

My maternity photography sessions last around 1-2 hours.

Maternity photoshoots take place in your third trimester, generally between 29-35 weeks.

Absolutely not. It is completely up to you whether you would like some nude or implied nude photographs taken during your session. You don't need to make this decision until the day of the session and it is absolutely not a necessity if this is something that you are not comfortable with.

Absolutely! I actually encourage all parents and siblings to get involved in the photos too. I will always take some time with the elder sibling and take some solo portraits of them too, they are part of the family and I want them to feel special.

Yes I can, your clothing is one of the most important things about the session, it'swhat gives your photographs that "look" that you just won't get if you randomly pull a shirt out your wardrobe on the morning of the shoot. I also have various clothing available to you for your session in my client wardrobe. This includes a variety of women’s dresses that you are more than welcome to use and rompers and clothing available for babies and siblings up until around 4 years old. We can make an appointment where you can come and view and try on something or I am more than happy to help you piece and outfit together from your own clothing.

Yes! I have a natural light photography studio it the garden of my Hertfordshire home. It is purpose built for photography, specifically newborns, babies and family portraits. The studio is styled to create a warm and cosy setting for you to come and relax through your newborn photography experience.

I have more of a non traditional style oh photography and consider myself more of a studio lifestyle photographer. My sessions are built around a mixture of natural, real moments and staged poses, although thus is more me just giving you some direction. I absolutely adore details, eyelashes and sweet curls are my favourite! I live for the candid moments, laughing, playing, cuddling, kissing, the emotion and closeness between you and your family.

Yes, absolutely! In all honesty, most of my clients admit to feeling self conscious. But we can actually use this to our advantage, there is no pressure to look at the camera and I will photograph you in a way your most natural, just having fun with your kids. You will absolutely love the end results.

I am so excited show them to you! Your online gallery will be ready for you to view 4 weeks after your session.
